Julie Baribeau (she/her)
Lead Stylist
$160 per hour + HST
Reverie is a gratuity free salon. Your time includes a thorough and thoughtful consultation, guided styling, and product suggestions.
Julie specializes in low-maintenance hair - in particular, cutting with a straight razor to encourage natural texture, and require minimal styling. She also loves a good pixie cut, and exploring the sculptural side of hair cutting. She believes deeply in the transformational power of a haircut.
She began her career in a bustling salon in 2001, where she competed, won multiple awards, and earned the trust of many loyal clients. She became an independent stylist in 2009 and enjoyed the private studio environment for 12 years before deciding to open a studio to share with other stylists and creatives in 2022.
She has always been passionate about learning, continues to hone her craft, and enjoys teaching the art of razor cutting to other stylists. She has trained extensively with Jayne Matthews (@jayne_edosalon), as well as stylists/educators like Hauns Korpela, Tristen Morrison, Dominique LyVar, Keya Neal, Aeleise Ollarvia, Emily Chen, Conor James Doyle, and many more. She is certified by the Rëzo Academy (and will be fully certified by Cut It Kinky in May 2025), recognized for training stylists in all types of curls, coils, and waves. She has more educational endeavours to look forward to this year, as well as her own teaching engagements, and supporting the apprentices at the salon.

Senior Stylist
$120 per hour +HST

Maggie Ellis (she/Her
Some of Maggie’s favourite services include curly hair, shags, mullets, and haircuts that celebrate your natural texture. She also enjoys creating lived in highlights and balayage, as well as vivid and creative colours
Maggie approaches hair from an education driven, and client centred experience. From consultation to the end of your service, she is dedicated to customizing every service to your individual needs.
She began her career in 2016 at LaLuma academy. Working in the heart of downtown Guelph for most of her career, and also being born and raised in Guelph, Maggie has a strong connection and love for her community.
She is an award winning stylist who loves to stay on top of the latest trends and education, and continually improve her already significant skills. Outside of her time at Reverie, she loves to sew and rock climb, as well as exploring and travelling with her partner.

Jenni Scicluna (she/her)
Senior Stylist
$100 per hour +HST

Jenni graduated from the Voila Institute in 2013. Her ten years of experience behind the chair has developed her into a well rounded stylist. She enjoys working with all styles, colours, and cuts, and continues to educate herself and fine tune her skills.
Jenni is very easy going, and warm, and loves to create a safe, and comfortable environment for her clients.
She has spent the last 20 years in Guelph with her partner, and two cats. Jenni loves to travel, sew, and create. You have most likely seen one of her creations - particularly her bags - around town, or maybe even in the shop.

EMMA THERIAULT (she/her)
Stylist
$105 per hour +HST

A born and raised Guelph local, Emma began her career when she graduated from The Voila Institute of Hair Design in 2009. Her specialties include dimensional colours ranging from natural blondes to reds, brunettes, grey coverage and grey blending, lived-in highlights & balayage, precision cutting and restorative treatments for the hair and scalp. She understands, and loves working with finer hair types. Emma loves a good transformation, and creating haircuts that people feel great in.
Emma offers a holistic approach to haircare. She is an intuitive listener and passionate about digging deeper to help clients on their journey towards their best hair possible. This is what has led her to pursue a full certification as a Trichologist. (Trichology is a branch of dermatology specialized in the scientific study of the health of hair and scalp.)
Outside of her time at Reverie, Emma loves to rock climb, travel, cook new and interesting meals with her wife, thrift quirky treasures, and chat all things sustainability. Emma is also very active in her community, raising awareness and gifting her time and services to those with less access to hair care through organizations like Stepping Stone.

Bryn McIlroy (she/they)
Apprentice Stylist
$65 per hour +HST
Reverie is a gratuity free salon. Your time includes a thorough and thoughtful consultation, guided styling, and product suggestions.
Bryn is one of Reverie’s talented apprentices. As an apprentice, they will be helping out with greeting clients, making them feel welcome and offering refreshments, taking some phone calls, helping out behind the scenes and behind the chair, adding a sprinkle of quiet spooky to the shop, and learning from the rest of the team. They are warm and deeply kind, and careful listeners and make every effort to ensure their guests feel cared for and heard. We look forward to supporting and watching them develop as a stylist.
Bryn graduated from Voila Institute in 2017, and has been in the beauty industry ever since. She worked at Sally Beauty, guiding clients there to the products they needed, and deepening her understanding of colour theory and creating vivid looks.
They love working on hair of all shades and textures, but her true passion lies in creative colours. Want to go purple? Green? Yellow?? Bryn is your person!
When she’s not at the studio, Bryn can be found curled up with her two senior cats (Kivi, the walking puffball mushroom, and Chloe, the shorthaired sweetheart), designing a future tattoo, or cooking up a storm (new recipes are always welcome!). They also love all things creepy and weird.

Robyn Gazzola (he/they)
Apprentice Stylist
$65 per hour +HST
Reverie is a gratuity free salon. Your time includes a thorough and thoughtful consultation, guided styling, and product suggestions.
Robyn is passionate for hair and thrilled to be a part of the Reverie team. As Reverie's new apprentice they will be found around the studio, helping behind the scenes, as well as welcoming guests, and working behind the chair, while learning from the rest of the team. Robyn brings a joyful enthusiasm to the salon, and we are exited to watch them grow as a stylist.
Robyn graduated from Niagara College Hairstyling in 2024 and is looking forward to beginning their career. They are skilled with cuts, bright colours, and updos, and they like to make people feel more comfortable and confident through their hair. Robyn's is passionate about providing gender affirming haircuts and bright dramatic colours. If you want a fun look like racoon stripes or for your hair colour to look like a seahorse…? Robyn is your person.
When Robyn isn't crafting with scissors, they are often crafting with something else - whether that's a spatula or a sewing machine! They love picking up new hobbies so by all means give them a new hobby to take up. Their other passions include thrifting, head banging to live music and reading - especially all things fantasy.
